Statement from the Kurdish Intellectuals Organization in the UK on Kurdish Journalism Day

To the People of Kurdistan, To all Journalists and Free Voices,

Today, as we commemorate the 128th anniversary of the publication of the first issue of “Kurdistan” newspaper and celebrate Kurdish Journalism Day, we pay tribute to the pioneers of this noble journey. On this occasion, the Kurdish Intellectuals Organization in the UK reaffirms its enduring mission and commitment.

As always, we proudly declare our unwavering support for the journalists of the Kurdistan Region. On this historic day, we pledge to stand as a protective shield for all journalists in Southern Kurdistan and for every Kurdish journalist across all four parts of Kurdistan, or wherever they may reside globally, who remains dedicated to their professional journalistic duties.

We firmly believe that freedom of expression and safeguarding the dignity of journalists are the fundamental pillars of any progressive society. Therefore, through our work and advocacy abroad, we will continue to be your authentic voice, ensuring that the challenges and achievements of Kurdish journalism are recognized by the international community.

Salute to the souls of the martyrs of the pen. Happy Kurdish Journalism Day to all brave voices.

بەیاننامەی ڕێکخراوی ڕۆشنبیرانی کورد لە بەریتانیا بەبۆنەی ساڵڕۆژی ڕۆژنامەگەریی کوردییەوە

کۆمەڵانی خەڵکی کوردستان… ڕۆژنامەنووسان و قەڵەمە ئازادەکان…

ئەمڕۆ کە یادی ١٢٨ ساڵەی دەرچوونی یەکەم ژمارەی ڕۆژنامەی (کوردستان) و ڕۆژی ڕۆژنامەگەریی کوردی دەکەینەوە، لە کاتێکدا سەری ڕێز و نەوازش بۆ پێشەنگانی ئەم کاروانە دادەنەوێنین، وەک ڕێکخراوی ڕۆشنبیرانی کورد لە بەریتانیا جەخت لەسەر پەیامی هەمیشەییمان دەکەینەوە.

ئێمە وەک هەمیشە، بە شانازییەوە ڕای دەگەیەنین کە پاڵپشت و داکۆکیکارێکی سەرسەختی ڕۆژنامەنووسانی هەرێمی کوردستانین. لەم یادەدا، دووپاتی دەکەینەوە کە دەبینە قەڵغانی پشتیوانی بۆ سەرجەم ڕۆژنامەنووسانی باشووری کوردستان و تەواوی ئەو ڕۆژنامەنووسە کوردە قەڵەمڕەنگینانەی کە لە هەر چوار پارچەی کوردستان یان لە هەر وڵاتێکی ئەم جیهانەدا نیشتەجێن و سەرقاڵی ئەنجامدانی کاری پیشەییانەی خۆیانن.

باوەڕی تەواومان بەوە هەیە کە ئازادیی ڕادەربڕین و پاراستنی شکۆی ڕۆژنامەنووسان، کۆڵەکەی سەرەکیی هەر کۆمەڵگەیەکی پێشکەوتووە. هەر بۆیە، لە ڕێگەی کار و چالاکییەکانمانەوە لە هەندەران، دەبینە دەنگی ڕاستەقینەی ئێوە و بەردەوام دەبین لە گەیاندنی پەیامی مەزڵوومییەت و لێهاتوویی ڕۆژنامەنووسی کورد بە ناوەندە نێودەوڵەتییەکان.

سڵاو لە گیانی پاکی شەهیدانی قەڵەم… پیرۆز بێت ساڵڕۆژی ڕۆژنامەگەریی کوردی لە سەرجەم قەڵەمە بوێرەکان.
