According to the statement by the head of the Plymouth center, Mahmoud Salim, this initiative was organized as a significant step toward preserving the environment and improving the cleanliness of public spaces. He emphasized that both residents and tourists should act responsibly toward the environment and contribute to maintaining clean and healthy surroundings.
During the activity, after a number of areas were cleaned, visitors were advised and reminded to take their waste with them or dispose of it in designated bins. Special warnings were also issued regarding fishing waste and other materials, as they can cause harm to wildlife and may lead to injury or death of animals.
In addition, the President, Secretary General, and several members of the Supreme Council of the Kurdish Cultural Organization (KCO) were present and actively participated in the project. Their involvement added significant value to the initiative and strengthened the shared message of environmental protection and responsibility.
This initiative is seen as a successful example of cooperation between youth groups and cultural organizations in promoting environmental awareness and working toward a cleaner and healthier community for all.
