Sandwell Council Representative, Ms Lois Frith, praises the work and activities of the Kurdish Intellectuals Organisation

On Tuesday, 29th July 2025, at the main office of the Kurdish Cultural Organisation in the UK, Mr. Gova Ahmad, President of the Kurdish Cultural Organisation, and several members of the Senior Council welcomed Councillor Lois Frith, a representative for Sandwell Council and a coordinator for public services in the United Kingdom. The visit is considered a vital step in strengthening relations and building a bridge of mutual cooperation.

In a meeting held in a warm and friendly atmosphere, Councillor Frith expressed her gratitude and appreciation to the organisation. She observed its activities firsthand and conveyed her admiration for the humanitarian spirit of the Senior Council members, who work tirelessly to serve the public and promote cultural development.

Accompanied by members of the board, Councillor Frith then toured the organisation’s various departments, commending the methods and structure of their work. She pledged her full support and cooperation for the organisation and all its future projects, emphasising her commitment to maintaining ongoing contact and future visits.

One of the key outcomes of the visit was Councillor Frith’s commitment to promoting the Kurdish Cultural Organisation as a leading and effective centre within Sandwell. She also proposed that representatives from the organisation become active members of local councils in the West Midlands, enabling them to formally represent the Kurdish community’s voice and participate in regional decision-making.

This visit opens a new door for strategic collaboration between the Kurdish Cultural Organisation and official UK institutions.
